After spending a particularly lovely afternoon getting lunch at Lardo West and perusing the isles of Powell’s Books on our search for the perfect guide book for our upcoming trip to London, we decided that the only thing that could make the day better was cupcakes. Fortunately for us, right up the street on the corner of Southwest Morrison and 12th, Saint Cupcake Galore sells some the most delicious and crave fulfilling cupcakes we could ever ask for.
We popped in just as they were hitting a small lull in business to take a few photos and really give the place a good look before selecting the perfect confectionary creation. We ended up selecting the ‘Toasted Coconut Cream’ and ‘The Salty Captain.’ I know what you’re thinking, ‘Is The Salty Captain a barnacle bunched, crustacean crusted cupcake with the taste of the sea?’ No. It is an incredibly delectable chocolate cupcake topped with a salted caramel buttercream frosting. And the Toasted Coconut Cupcake, oh my! The vanilla cream cheese icing was one of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re in town and looking for a few friends to share cupcakes with, please let us know… We are always down for cupcakes.

Jade, those photos are beautiful, and I’m not saying that because the food looks great. You have such a way with light and always get the most beautiful tones.
