We have been making our own version of vegan bowls since we were vegan. Yes, we too ventured into the world of veganism for about two years for health reasons. But even after venturing back to the omnivorous lifestyle, we still haven’t been able to keep from making vegan cuisine from time to time. When done right, it’s just so delicious! So when friends of ours recommended we go and try the tasty bowls at Canteen, we knew we had to venture over to the East side.
We ended up ordering their Bangkok Bowl and their Summer Breeze juice. The bowl had kimchi, aduki beans brocoli, and an incredibly tasty curry sauce on top. The juice had a blend of apple, pineapple, cucumber, lime, and cilantro. The cilantro brought the fruitiness out of all the individual elements and made them even tastier. The combination of the bowl and juice while sitting out on their heated back patio/deck area was the perfect end to our trip around town on that cold March day.
