‘A portrait of one another, once a week for an entire year’

A few portraits taken around the house where I have been recovering this week. Today marks the 12th day of this awful sickness. I have an autoimmune disease, so when I get sick, I REALLY get sick. My immune system has trouble fighting things off on its own. My cough and sore throat turned into an ear, eye and throat infection. This week has been a tumultuous one around the country and my heart just breaks for all the people who have been affected by the senseless violence committed by their fellow man. This violence and cruelty is horrible and unnecessary. But I believe in hope… and love… and I know that the world is a good place if we would just allow it to be so.

And now, here are a few links we are endlessly enraptured with this week…

Inspired by Gabrielle Gifford and Amy Poehler.

Dreaming of Beth’s coconut tres leches cake. I’ve been telling Cory for MONTHS that I want to make a gluten free version of a coconut cake and this cake has pushed me over the edge to finally try and do it. PS: Congrats lovebirds on your engagement!.

Can’t wait to make spring baked eggs for breakfast this weekend.

Wouldn’t mind staying at this incredible villa in Bali.

Inspired by the thought of meeting Bill Murray some day.

Dreaming of owning my own crazy cat.

Can’t wait to make a Coconut Cake!

Wouldn’t mind having a cup of Coava Coffee and relaxing in their shop.

Everyone always THINKS they want a cat with funny quirks, but wait until they keep you up all night begging to play fetch, pawing relentlessly at the windows in search of who knows WHAT, or clawing at the bathroom door cos they want in the sink. We come pretty close to murdering Franny at least once a month. 😉

Hahaha! I lived in a household with cats like that for most of my life so trust me when I say I completely understand the desire to murder… 😉

Loving that photo. I still need to finish The Great Gasby before the film is released! Can you believe I have never read the book?… it’s kind of sad, lol.

Here’s to hoping you feel better — and SOON! That has got to be extremely rough. 🙁

You MUST read it! Thank you so much for the well wishing. I think the worst part of it all is how long it has lasted. I’m definitely ready to be better…

    Loving the portraits.

Poopy. Super poopy. Sick = suck!

That said, that cat gif will keep me going for the rest of the afternoon. 😉

Hahahaha! Cat gifs make many things in life easier to handle…

I hope you feel better soon, Jade! I’ve had a sinus infection for the past 5 or 6 weeks so I know how you feel. The grain in the last image is so perfect. This brings me to this question: have you guys shot that roll of film you bought at the store?

    • endlesslyenraptured / 24 April 2013 7:27

Thank you so much lovely lady! I hope you get to feeling like yourself soon too. Being sick is the WORST, especially when it seems to lag. And, YES! We’ve shot two rolls actually. We need to get it developed!

Thanks muchly! I can only hope we have what you two have found in marriage!

    • endlesslyenraptured / 1 May 2013 4:20

I know I’ve only been married a year, but I think the secret to marriage is communication. You can’t be afraid to talk things out. I have a feeling you two have found that love in each other… 🙂
