Early Morning

Early Morning

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend! We went to the wedding of two of our dearest friends. I was actually one of the bridesmaids. Of course we have plenty of photographs from that special day to share, but I’m going to wait till the bride has a chance to share hers first. It was an absolutely gorgeous wedding and being able to meet her friends from California and members of her family that I’ve heard so much about over the years, was such a treat. Oh, and did I mention how ridiculously beautiful the wedding venue was?

After our crazy weekend, we were hoping to sleep in a bit this morning… but of course the construction workers next door had different plans. They started hammering away at 6:30 this morning. Seriously!? I stayed in bed for awhile and when I officially awoke around 8:30 I noticed that Cory had been on a bit of a war path sending emails and making phone calls concerning noise control issues. The poor guy. But I also noticed he was super productive in his blind rage and researched our train tickets from London to Paris and caught up on some business emails. He is back in bed now and hopefully an extra hour of sleep will set things right again. Since this morning was kind of awful, I thought I would share a few photographs from a lovely early morning at Coava a few weeks back.

I feel your pain! I think the house across the street from my building has been having remodeling done for at least two years. This summer they were panting the outside which meant metal ladder rattling and power washers going starting at 7am. Every day. All summer. They finally finished about a week ago and I realized I forgot what a quiet morning could be like!

Oh man, 2 years!? I am so, SO sorry. How did you ever create such beautiful art through all that racket!? The people next door to us are saying they are going to be wrapping things up in October and I’m like,’HA! YEAH RIGHT!’ I’m crossing my fingers for the best though and trying to be patient. I know that having that house fixed up is good for the neighborhood. I guess the worst part about it is the fact that my husband works from 3:30 to midnight. He gets home around 12:30 and I like to wait up for him which means we are woken up early with not nearly enough sleep.

    Ick, how frustrating!

This weekend I… hrm, what did I do?

I found a new couch yesterday and a mid-century hutch for my living room. (So excited!) Other than that I think I spent way too much time watching True Blood and surfing the net. 😉

Lets home the noise dies down a bit! Do they have an expected completion date?

If Cory wasn’t working nights, it wouldn’t bother me as much. I hate that he isn’t getting the rest he needs, you know? Send good thoughts out into the world for him!

Oooo! I can’t wait to see them! I’ve finally gotten Cory to watch Breaking Bad so we’ve been marathoning that (I’ve already seen it but its been fun watching it the second time around).

Apparently they are supposed to be done in October with the renovations… HA! Yeah right! To them I say good luck because I really don’t see how that is going to be possible…

Gorgeous images – love the steam

hope their construction goes really quick so that you don’t have to put up with too many noisy mornings.

Thanks Vickie. I seriously can’t wait for it all to be over. It has started raining here which I’m certain is putting a damper on their plans… but I don’t mind, haha! 😀
