Ristretto Roasters

Ristretto Roasters

I’ve been having some really horrible coffee cravings over the past few weeks. Since starting my new job working directly downtown, I’ve been drinking a lot of watered down, flavorless office grinds. There is a definitive problem with the location I work. There are a couple great coffee shops in relative walking distance, Ristretto Roasters being one of them, but by the time I race over, order a delicious and satisfying concoction, wait for it to be made and then placed in my hot little hands, I’m left with only a few minutes to run back before my break is over. It’s pretty obvious why running full speed to work with a hot beverage in hand is a bad idea. I’d prefer to avoid burns. Granted, these are first world problems and I am unbelievably grateful that I even have a job to walk to and that they offer me as much free, watered down coffee I can handle.

Lucky for me, Jade and I go out on dates during the weekend that fulfill my true coffee desires…

ah! I’m on caffeine break and this looks so good!
when I was in a similar situation I started bringing my own french press and coffee, it sounds a little extreme, but it worked well.

as a fellow coffee lover, i love this post. as an aspiring photographer, i love your site! you are lucky to have som many good independant coffee shops within walking distance. all i have in my vicinity is starbucks (wah-wah!) but at least it’s better than the office kurig machine. 😉

Haha!! Oh my gosh, we are so, SO lucky! Sometimes I get overwhelmed by all the options. We have decided we really need to try some others instead of sticking to our three favorites time and time again. Here’s hoping more independent coffee shops come your way! 🙂
