It has become a tradition of ours to set aside a bit of time to visit the roses every year. We like to wait till after the Rose Festival when the crowds have died out, that way, the expansive gardens feel as though they belong just to us. The unseasonably warm weather this year has caused many of the beautiful blooms to wither before their time but there is still much to behold if you are thoughtful enough to seek it. These gardens are special: roses in varieties and colors you didn’t even know existed. It’s an absolute shame the season is nearly over…
