Ready for the (Long) Weekend

Almond Croissant and Coffee at Ken's by Endlessly Enraptured

Have you earned the upcoming long weekend? We certainly have. There has been so much going on but our trip to New York in a couple weeks keeps us going. It has been about 9 months since we’ve had a proper vacation. The last time I was in New York was a little over 7 years ago and this will be Cory’s first time ever. We’re looking forward to meeting up with friends, drinking coffee and eating… and eating… and eating. All the walking will make up for those extra calories… right? But that is still a few weeks away.

Tomorrow we’re getting up extra early to photograph one of our favorite places for a special project and Sunday we are shooting with our friend for yet another special project. Guess I better get my beauty sleep tonight. Are you up to anything fun during the holiday weekend?

I’m so excited that you’re coming to NYC! As the true coffee connoisseurs that I know you both are, I recommend making a trip to Gasoline Alley (for the iced coffee) and Café Lalo (for every single thing on their menu).

    You won’t be sorry 🙂

You are MAGICAL. Putting both on the top of our list!

The Seattle Underground Tour is actually very good! Really interesting history, great stories, & it’s pretty cool to walk on sidewalks underneath the city.

Cory was just telling me how he wanted to go on it! I don’t know why I never considered it before. Think it might just be the perfect thing for this trip, especially since we are going in October!

Love the colors in this shot, yes that orange makes it. And NY is a great place, waiting to see your vision of such a place.

I have yet to go to NYC. It’s been on the list, but I usually head out of the country when I have the time. Hoping to change that sooner than later.

I’m a creature of habit when I head up to Seattle anymore — Porchlight Coffee & Records and Salumi. Even though you can pick up Salumi in Zupan’s, something about getting a fresh sandwich in that tiny shop is heaven!.

I know just what you mean! When planning trips, I always wonder if I should go back to somewhere I love or give a place I have yet to go a shot. You definitely have to go to New York. So much to see and eat and marvel at. I can’t wait to go there with Cory.

AH! Salumi!! I’ve still yet to have it. It’s SO happening this time around…
