We haven’t meant for it to be so quiet around here. Between work and trying to survive this awful heatwave, we just haven’t had much time to sit down and edit. But we are back on the horse!

We pulled out our favorite Polaroid 100 Land Camera and have been bringing it everywhere with us. We had stopped shooting for awhile since the film we love has since been discontinued and prices have skyrocketed. But it’s a worthy investment so we ordered a few packs and have reignited the love affair. We’ve explored several new places to us including Tea Bar, Dapper & Wise, and Mirakutei. We are in the midst of planning another trip to London, which seems surreal. Anytime we have the chance to travel, it feels like a dream come true.

Jade was booked for two features in two different magazines; Marie Claire which she will be in their August issue, and Hemispheres Magazine which will be in their September issue. Not only that, but she was hired by Canon to be a local social influencer talent at their #CanonBringIt event at the Doug Fir Lounge a few weeks back.

I’ve also been having a surprisingly good time in my MBA, having just come out of a block of accounting courses, feeling better than I ever have about my understanding of math in general (one of my least favorite subject ever.) Now I’m rounding off a statistics course which I’m really enjoying, and the rest of my degree is marketing courses which is one of the big reasons I’m getting my MBA in the first place. I’ve just applied for a new position at my day job within the company. The position has more of an emphasis on social media, content production and editing. I don’t want to want it… but I really want it. If I ended up not getting it, it would not be any big loss, but there is a part of me that would be disappointed. Regardless of if I get it or not, I see a lot of big and awesome things happening for us in the near future and I’m ready to reach out and grab them. I just feel so grateful.

Saturday morning we are shooting Xtabay, one of our favorite vintage clothing shops in town for a feature coming up in Seamwork Magazine which is put out by our friends at Colette Patterns.

Saturday evening our dear friend Eva of Adventures in Cooking is hosting an incredible 5 course meal here in Portland. There are a few spots left and we would love to see you there. If you’d like to attend, you can learn more about The Dinner Series on Eva’s website.

I also get to go see two of my favorite bands ever, Weezer and The Buzzcocks, Sunday night at Project Pabst. I’m especially looking forward to seeing Weezer since they have been the biggest influence on me as a musician when I was in junior high and high school. Leave it up to Pasbt to have one of my dreams of seeing them live come true.

We hope your summer has been wonderful and maybe we’ll see you on Saturday for dinner if you’re in the area?

Thank you, love! Film is just so timeless. I can’t wait to shoot in London again. The polaroids we bring back are always our greatest souvenir. I hope we hear good news too! I have a good feeling and I know Cory deserves it. He is one of the hardest working people I know. And THANK GOODNESS, we are finally having temps back down in the 80s.

These photos are beautiful—I love the lonely ice cream cone!

That’s so funny that you say that you hated math, but you’re enjoying your statistics course—I was the same way! Math was a total drag for me, but I ended up taking a statistics course post-grad and it was reaaaaaally interesting.

Beautiful photos! Love the dark, black and white and the story it tells.
